The Department of Public Works will provide curbside collection of loose leaves from the gutters of the Township streets in the residential areas during normal working hours in accordance with the 2011 schedule published in the Fall:
We are asking for your patience with the leaf collection process. Please place your leaves curb side. We will collect them if they have not been picked up yet. Please ignore the original December 9th cut off date. Thank you.
Drop Offs will be placed throughout the township where convenient.
PLEASE NOTE:
- State Law prohibits the disposal of leaves with your household garbage or in storm drains. Please monitor where you place your leaves for collection so as to minimize the risk of leaves entering the storm sewer systems.
- The Township prefers that all residents rake their leaves to curbside for collection in order to maintain a timely schedule. Should residents prefer to bag their leaves; bags will be collected according to the above schedule after the completion of those areas.
- The machines used to pick up the leaves do make a substantial amount of noise and some dust depending on the moisture content in the leaves. We apologize for this inconvenience.
- If there are any unforeseen mechanical problems with our equipment we will make every effort to get back on schedule as soon as possible and we appreciate your cooperation.
