Our goal is to keep residents, friends and neighbors informed about the latest Township news and events.


Town Hall Summer Hours

Please be reminded that Town Hall is operating on Summer Hours until Friday, September 3. Town Hall will be open Monday - Thursday from 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. and Fridays from 9 a.m. - noon. The Town Hall will be closed Monday, September 6 for Labor Day.

Following Labor Day and beginning Tuesday, September 7, Town Hall will resume normal business hours; 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m., Monday thru Friday.

National Night Out

Bordentown Township’s National Night Out – America’s national community-building campaign promoting police-community partnerships – will be held on Tuesday, August 3 from 6-9 p.m. at Joseph Lawrence Park! Kids can enjoy ice cream, face painting, bounce houses, and much more – all while getting to know officers from the Bordentown Township Police Department. View the flyer for more information.

Supper for Sam

The Bordentown Township Senior Citizens Club has established a fundraiser for Sam Vail and his family. Support Sam in his battle with cancer by purchasing meals and/or donating to the cause. Learn more.

Please make checks payable to “Bordentown Twp. Seniors” and mail, along with your menu selection, to: Bordentown Twp. Seniors, 13 Linden Road, Bordentown, NJ 08505-1507. Orders will not be accepted after Friday, August 6 and are limited to only 100 meals. Pick up will be between 4-5 p.m. at the Seniors’ Center on Saturday, August 14.

Spotted Lanternfly Update

Spotted lanternflies are adults now at this part of the summer. They feed on a variety of plants and have no known natural predator. Residents do NOT need to call the hotline to report them and are encouraged to kill them on sight.

Burlington County COVID-19 Outreach

The Burlington County COVID-19 Outreach Team is in your neighborhood wearing reflective vests, ID badges, and providing info about the COVID-19 vaccine. The team will also provide residents with much-needed resources to combat economic hardship, rental or housing assistance, food, and COVID-19 testing.

2021-2022 Tax Bill Updates

The 2021-2022 Tax Bills for the August 1, 2021 Tax Quarter are late due to the delay of the Certified Tax Rate. The Tax Bills are expected to be mailed mid-August and the extended grace period deadline will be printed on your tax bill. Once the specific date is available, it will be posted to the Township’s website under the Tax Collector page.


Recent Songbird Deaths

As a reminder, Federal Government Officials have recommended removing bird feeders and baths due to the event occurring in nestling and fledgling songbirds in the mid-Atlantic. Please wash both with 10% bleach before storing. Read this recent news story.

COVID Vaccination Site in Bordentown Township

Burlington County has opened four COVID vaccination sites throughout the county. A Bordentown vaccination site will be held at the Township Senior Center located at 3 Municipal Drive each Thursday from 3-7 p.m.

Dates for the Bordentown Senior Center
Vaccination Site include the following:
August: 5, 12, 19, 26

Sites are offering the Moderna or Johnson & Johnson vaccines. Walk-ins are welcome. Make an appointment online or by calling 1-855-568-0545. Learn more.

Meet Your Township Employee
Angel Sauro

Angel Sauro lives in Delran, New Jersey with her husband John and has been married for thirty-seven years. Together they have three children: Jenna, Julianna and Jon.

Angel graduated from Delran High School, class of 1980. She continued her education by attending Burlington County College and later went to Floristry School and Travel School earning degrees in both. She had a business career for years that stretched across the country from the east to west coast. Angel later decided to include writing in her repertoire, and is a two-time published author of poetry.

Angel has been a Bordentown Township employee since 2000, and is currently in her twenty-first year of service. She began as the Public Information Officer and Senior Service Coordinator and handled all the Township’s public events. Currently, Angel serves as the Confidential Aide to the Mayor and continues to handle most public events along with many administrative duties.

Angel enjoys working with the public, supporting the Bordentown Township Senior Citizen’s Club and coordinating and executing township events and special projects. She treasures spending time with her family, and enjoys reading, artistic endeavors, and cooking for friends and family. She has taught religious education for 30 years at her church, and has served as past President of the Trenton Comitia in the Legion of Mary, supporting the entire Trenton Diocese. Angel currently serves as Vice President in a praesidium, and has done so for the past twelve years.
