ELCON Hazardous Waste Treatment Facility - Meeting on September 30th

This is a reminder that the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) will host a public hearing on Wednesday, September 30, regarding the ELCON facility, a proposed hazardous waste treatment facility to treat liquid waste from the chemical and pharmaceutical industry.  The hearing will be held from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Sheraton Bucks County Hotel at 400 Oxford Valley Rd, Langhorne, PA 19047. It is intended to allow for public testimony exclusively on the Phase I application that has been resubmitted by ELCON.   

ELCON’s proposal impacts all residents of our riverfront communities.  Bordentown Township has already opposed the application, and will continue to oppose the ELCON hazardous waste treatment facility application.

Residents are urged to get involved and take part in the public information meetings.
