CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER / TAX COLLECTOR - Bordentown Township is seeking a Chief Financial Officer/Tax Collector to oversee the Township’s financial operations and collection of taxes. The township reserves the right to consider those applicants for the Chief Financial Officer position only at this time depending on the applicant pool.
The Municipal budget is $ 17M, with no utilities. The township is AA rated with a strong fund balance. Successful applicants must be able to provide in-depth financial analysis as the CFO. Applicants are required to have comprehensive knowledge of municipal financial laws and regulations. The applicant must have a working knowledge of the Edmunds Accounting program in both the finance and tax collection modules. Other responsibilities include monthly reconciliation of all bank accounts and ledgers, managing debt, overseeing grants, issuance of bonds and related debt analysis. The CFO will be required to work with the Township Auditor during the annual audit. The CFO will work closely with the Township Administrator in the preparation of the annual budget.
The township has approximately 4,200 tax line items. The applicant must have a full understanding of the tax collection laws and responsibilities.
A State of NJ issued CMFO and CTC certifications are preferred but not necessarily required. The township is willing to look at those individuals who are actively pursuing their licenses. Minimum 3 years’ experience in a municipal finance preferred. Salary dependent upon qualifications.
The township is a growing community with greater than 13,000 residents and several interesting development projects. The township building is situated between Rt 130 and 206 and is less than 1 mile from the NJ Turnpike and Rt 295.

FULL-TIME AND PART-TIME EMERGENCY MEDICAL TECHNICIANS (EMT) – BORDENTOWN TOWNSHIP, BURLINGTON COUNTY is seeking FULL-TIME and PART-TIME EMTs. Bordentown EMS responds to 911 emergency calls in Bordentown City, Bordentown Township and Fieldsboro, on the NJ Turnpike and provides mutual aid to surrounding areas. Candidates must have two (2) years of experience as a 911 responder. Candidates must have graduated high school or have G.E.D. equivalency, hold a valid New Jersey Driver’s License with EVOC or CEVO completion, have New Jersey EMT certification and a valid, and have ARC CPR certification or AHA at professional rescue level or equivalent.
