Hope for New Jersey: An Event Providing Housing Recovery Resources for Homeowners Affected by Superstorm Sandy

On March 9, 2013, all homeowners affected by Superstorm Sandy will have an opportunity to meet with mortgage industry experts, housing counselors, insurance companies and other housing-related organizations at the Hope for New Jersey Event in Sayreville, NJ.
Mortgage servicers will be available to discuss mortgages and insurance as it relates to disaster relief. A HUD-approved, nonprofit housing counselor will be onsite to provide options involving disaster relief and housing assistance. A representative from the insurance industry will go over the claims process and what it entails. A representative from the Office of the Attorney General will have a discussion on how to avoid home improvement scams.
Attendees should bring a copy of their monthly mortgage statement, information about other mortgages on your home, documentation of all income and all property insurance documents, including any adjuster damage assessments.
