America Works of New Jersey (AWNJ) is working with students of Burlington County ages 14-21 in our new In School Youth Program. AWNJ and Burlington County are working together to provide soft skills virtually to improve on self-esteem, career pathways, emotional intelligence and how to manage finances. Through the ISY program, they are helping youth identify what sets them apart from everyone that they encounter and helping them prepare for life during and after school. During these times of Covid 19, it is more important for our students to understand where they stand and how to deal with their emotional, mental, and physical well-being. These programs will help youth when furthering their career, continuing their education, starting a family, and just living their best life. AWNJ and Burlington County have different activities in place to help them identify their top 5 character strengths (Gallup Assessment); how to use their talents to build a successful career, how to become emotionally intelligent and financial literacy to better manage their finances.
AWNJ and Burlington County will be having ongoing weekly webinars to go over the details of the ISY program and how students can be approved for our program. Invite students and their parents/guardians to join the call!
Please join AWNJ on Wednesday, August 19th at 1pm on Zoom. If you have any questions or concerns, please email Darryl Jackson at [email protected] or have questions ready for Wednesday's webinar.
