Bordentown Township’s 12th Annual Flu Shot Clinic

We will be hosting a Drive-Thru Flu Shot Clinic on Tuesday, September 8 from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. at the Senior Community Center located at 3 Municipal Drive. Please go to the parking lot area of the senior center and you will be directed from there.

You must bring your insurance card and have your paperwork completed. Most health insurances cover the shot 100%, however, if there is a charge or co-pay you will be billed directly by the pharmacy. The flu shot without insurance is $39.99 out-of-pocket and will be billed directly by the pharmacy.

Senior citizens on Medicare will be covered 100%, but you must complete paperwork ahead of time and bring that with your Medicare Part B & D cards that day. The cost for seniors without insurance out-of-pocket is $78.99 and will be billed directly.

Please print and bring this form with you when you visit the clinic. Also, please call the Mayor’s Office at (609)-298-2800 ext. 2109 to confirm your attendance and to ensure enough shots are available.

News from the Bordentown
Township Environmental Commission

TerraCycle’s Zero-Waste Program

Bordentown Township’s Environmental Commission is participating in TerraCycle’s Zero-Waste program and is collecting non-recyclable packaging to reduce waste. This FREE collection program will help our township keep tons of garbage from ending up in our landfill. Please note that we have dedicated collection containers for specific recyclable items at the Township’s Public Works Recycling Center, located at 266 Crosswicks. Read the notice from our Environmental Commission for more information.

Grasscycling Information

Did you know? You can lower your dependence on chemical lawn fertilizer by leaving your grass clippings on the ground. Clippings an inch or less long will quickly decompose and fertilize your lawn. Nutrients like phosphorus, nitrogen, and potassium are released back into the soil, reducing the need for chemical applications.

Leaving the grass clippings on your lawn also helps it to retain moisture during hot, dry summer months when your grass is likely to turn brown. Grass clippings help with weed control by providing a barrier to weed seeds and preventing them from taking root. Finally, placing grass clippings in your trash adds to our landfill fees, so “cut it and leave it” and save time and money while nurturing a healthy lawn. Click here for more information.
