Welcome to the September edition of the Bordentown Township Banner! Our goal is to keep residents, friends and neighbors informed about the latest Township news and events.


Fireworks Show Information & Safety Protocols

Bordentown Township will hold a fireworks show at Joseph Lawrence Park at dusk on Saturday, September 4! A rain date has been set for Sunday, September 5.

The Township anticipates a large crowd for this event. In order to keep things as safe as possible for all attendees, please see the following guidelines regarding behavior at the event:

  1. Regardless of vaccination status, please wear a mask.
  2. Please socially distance from those outside your immediate group.
  3. Wash your hands and use hand sanitizer often. Hand sanitizing stations will be available upon location.
  4. If you are not feeling well, please stay at home.

Please, be considerate of your friends, neighbors, public safety professionals, and all attendees of the event.

Flu Shot Clinic

A Flu Shot Clinic will take place on Thursday, September 9 from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. at the Senior Community Center located at 3 Municipal Drive. Please note that you must have the completed forms & insurance card. Contact the Mayor’s office, 609-298-2800, to confirm your participation. Click here to view and download the screening form.

COVID Vaccination Site in
Bordentown Township EXTENDED

Burlington County residents, ages 18 and older, can receive the COVID-19 vaccine at the Bordentown vaccination site located at the Senior Center, 3 Municipal Drive. The site has added extended dates throughout the end of the year. Clinics will take place Thursdays from 3-7 p.m.

Sites are offering the Moderna or Johnson & Johnson vaccines. Walk-ins are welcome. The first, second, and third doses are available, plus boosters. Make an appointment online or by calling 1-855-568-0545.


Town Hall Change of Hours & Labor Day Schedule

Please be reminded that Town Hall will be closed Monday, September 6 for Labor Day.

Due to the Labor Day Holiday, bulk pick-up for Zone 1 will be on Monday, September 13 along with the rest of the town.

Labor Day Holiday Update

Following Labor Day and beginning Tuesday, September 7, Town Hall will resume normal business hours; 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m., Monday thru Friday.

2021-2022 Tax Bill Updates

The 2021-2022 Tax Bills were mailed recently, and the grace period has been extended to Friday, September 10. Visit the Tax Collector’s page for more information.

Meet Your Township Employee
Kathleen Hill

Kathleen grew up in Gloucester County and graduated from Kingsway Regional High School. She began college following high school, and then returned to college part-time as a single parent – graduating in 2009.

Kathleen was appointed as the Tax Assessor in February of 2021 and will begin her 11th year as a New Jersey Certified Tax Assessor this November. The Tax Assessor is charged with establishing value and maintains ownership records for the Municipality.

Kathleen’s hobbies include supporting local agriculture and agritourism, visiting antique shops and auctions, and touring local wineries. She loves the beach, cooking and listening to country music.

Kathleen has one daughter, Ava, aged 20. Ava is beginning her junior year at Florida State University for Nursing, with an end goal of becoming a Nurse Anesthetist. Kathleen resides in Medford with her boyfriend, Matt and their Chihuahua, Chico.
