Volunteer of the Month: Chris Nunn (Or really, our Volunteer of All Time.)
Chris Nunn grew up in Bordentown — and even though he now lives in Burlington Township, his heart has never left. As the founder of The Foundation for Bordentown Traditions, Chris helped raise over $180,000 to support Township events that bring both City and Township residents together — like the Street of Dreams Car Show, Turkey Trot, Fireworks, City Tree Lighting, and Wailing Woods Hayride.
He’s spent 30 years in banking (24 of them right here in Bordentown), previously served as a Director and Officer of the Burlington Mercer Chamber of Commerce (including two years as President), and continues to support causes like the Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation. In 2016, he was inducted into the BRHS Alumni Hall of Fame for community service — but it’s his ongoing dedication that makes the biggest impact.
Chris lives in Burlington Township with his wife, Jennifer, where they raised their two children, Ryan and Julia. And while he’s proud of the work he’s done, he’ll be the first to tell you that his greatest accomplishment is his family.
So many of us know him, and all of us feel the love he continues to pour into this community.
Chris, thank you for your heart, your hustle, and for making Bordentown better year after year.
