Municipal Aid Award for repavement of Vine Way & Cherry Lane

Bordentown Township has been awarded more than $270,000 through the New Jersey Department of Transportation’s Fiscal Year 2026 Municipal Aid Grant Program, supporting the repaving of Vine Way and Cherry Lane.

The funding is part of a statewide announcement of $150 million in infrastructure support for all 537 municipalities that applied. Municipal Aid grants help local governments complete roadway, pedestrian, and neighborhood improvement projects based on engineering review and community impact.

“These funds help us make essential improvements without additional burden on local taxpayers,” said Mayor Eric Holliday. “We appreciate Senator Troy Singleton’s advocacy and NJDOT’s commitment to investing in our community. The Vine Way and Cherry Lane neighborhood will directly benefit from this work.”

The grant will fund the full resurfacing and paving of both streets. NJDOT releases funds in two phases: 75 percent when the Township awards a construction contract and 25 percent upon the project’s completion.

Bordentown Township will announce contract details, construction schedules, and project timelines once the grant is finalized through NJDOT.
