Chief Tom Komlosi is Retiring From Bordentown Township Mission Firehouse
After more than two decades of dedicated service, we congratulate Chief Tom Komlosi on his well-earned retirement as Fire Chief of District 1, Mission Firehouse.
Chief Komlosi began his journey with Mission Fire Company as a volunteer in January of 1999 and was hired as a Career Firefighter in June of 2000. He served as Captain under Chief Steve Scholey until 2022, then stepped into the role of Acting Chief before being officially promoted to Fire Chief in 2023.
Mission Fire Company is a combination volunteer and career-staffed fire company providing fire, rescue, and emergency services to approximately 10,000 residents across Bordentown Township’s 9.3 square miles — and Chief Komlosi’s career reflects a deep commitment to that responsibility. Rising through the ranks from volunteer to Chief, he led with pride, experience, and an unwavering dedication to the community he served.
As he enters retirement, Chief Komlosi looks forward to spending more time with his loving wife and children — along with trips to Aruba and cheering on his favorite hockey teams.
Thank you, Chief Komlosi, for your years of leadership, service, and commitment to Bordentown Township. Wishing you the very best in this next chapter.
