Frank Lombardo will officially begin serving as Bordentown Township’s Director of Police on March 30, 2026.
Lombardo brings more than fifteen years of progressive leadership experience in law enforcement, including executive and command-level roles overseeing administrative, operational, and investigative functions. Throughout his career, he has focused on organizational leadership, accountability, and strengthening relationships between law enforcement and the communities they serve.
Most recently, Lombardo served as Chief of Police for the South Whitehall Township Police Department in Lehigh County, Pennsylvania. Prior to that role, he held several command positions with the South Brunswick Township Police Department in Middlesex County, New Jersey, including Administrative Commander, Operations Commander, and Community Services Commander.
Lombardo holds a doctoral degree from George Washington University, where his research focused on building trust and legitimacy between police departments and the communities they serve. He is also a graduate of the FBI National Academy and has been actively involved in leadership development and regional law enforcement collaboration throughout his career.

Mayor Aneka Miller welcomed Lombardo to Bordentown Township.

Lombardo said he is honored to have the opportunity to serve the community.

As Director of Police, Lombardo will oversee departmental operations, strategic planning, and policy development while working closely with Township leadership and the community to support the continued delivery of professional and responsive policing services.
