Bordentown Township wants to address questions some residents may have regarding Fourth of July events in our region.
We are aware that a number of local municipalities have postponed or are considering postponing holiday events due to public safety concerns. We understand why residents are paying attention, and we want to be transparent.
After thorough review and ongoing coordination with law enforcement, at this time we will not be postponing the Bordentown Township Fireworks Show, scheduled for Friday, July 3rd at Joseph Lawrence Park.
The safety of our community, residents, visitors, and guests is always our first priority. That commitment is exactly why the Bordentown Township Police Department is working in partnership with the New Jersey State Police, the Burlington County Sheriff’s Office, and neighboring police departments to monitor, plan, and prepare for the event.
We are not overly concerned. And you shouldn’t be, either.
What we are prepared, and we intend to give this community the July 4th celebration it deserves, especially as our nation marks its 250th birthday.
We will continue to provide updates through our official channels. If the situation changes, you will hear from us first.
