On July 7, 2026, Bordentown Township officially celebrated the grand opening of its brand-new splash pad at Joseph Lawrence Park, marking the completion of a project that began just one year ago when the Township received a check from Senator Singleton to fund its development. The event brought together Senator Troy Singleton, Mayor Aneka A. Miller, Committeeman Bill Grayson, and Committeewoman Kelly Lozito to celebrate the milestone with residents and families.
The Township extends its deepest gratitude to Senator Singleton and Legislative District 7 for their support in bringing this project to life.
"Seeing this splash pad come to life is exactly why investments like this matter," said Senator Troy Singleton, who secured $200,000 for this project in the State's FY2026 budget. "It's a place where families can gather, kids can be kids, and our community can grow closer together. Congratulations to Bordentown Township on this wonderful new addition. I look forward to seeing families and children enjoy it for many summers to come."
"This splash pad has been a labor of love, and today we finally get to see it in action," said Mayor Miller. "It's a simple thing, really, just water and laughter, but it means so much to our families. Thank you to everyone who helped bring this project across the finish line."
The splash pad is located within Joseph Lawrence Park, already a community favorite for youth sports, events, and outdoor recreation.
It is powered by the park's existing independent well, which currently irrigates the park's sports fields, meaning there is no impact to the city water supply residents use at home.
The remaining splash pad playground area at Joseph Lawrence Park is expected to be completed within the month, further enhancing the park's offerings for Bordentown families.
The splash pad is now open daily to the public from 10am to 7pm for children ages 12 and under.
Joseph Lawrence Park continues to serve as a hub for Bordentown Township's community life, offering residents a variety of recreational opportunities for all ages.
