The Bordentown Township Police Department celebrated the promotion of seven officers during the October 26 Township Committee meeting, recognizing two new lieutenants and five new sergeants.

The promotions recognize the officers' dedication, experience, and commitment to serving the Bordentown Township community while strengthening leadership throughout the department.

Family members, fellow officers, and Township officials gathered to celebrate the officers as they officially assumed their new ranks.

Each officer earned their promotion through the department's promotional process, demonstrating the performance, experience, and leadership qualities needed to take on greater responsibilities.

The promotions also mark an important step forward for the department. The addition of two lieutenants expands command staff, providing greater leadership capacity for supervision, planning, and daily operations. Five new sergeants further strengthen frontline supervision and support for officers serving the community.

“These officers represent the very best of Bordentown Township,” said Mayor Aneka Miller. “Their promotions are a reflection of their hard work and a sign of how strong this department is becoming. Our residents should feel proud of the people serving them, and confident in the direction this department is headed.”

Director of Police Frank Lombardo also emphasized the importance of recognizing and developing leadership from within the department.

“Every one of these officers earned this moment,” said Lombardo. “A strong department starts with strong leadership, and these seven lead with professionalism, integrity, and pride. Promoting from within shows every officer in this department that there is a path forward here, and that hard work is recognized. I’m honored to stand alongside them.”

Bordentown Township congratulates all seven officers on their well-deserved promotions and thanks them for their continued dedication to protecting and serving our community.
