2026 Township Committee

Greetings from the Bordentown Township Committee.

Residents are welcome to join us for the public portion of the Township Committee meeting.

The meeting begins at 6:30 PM with a closed session, as permitted by State statute. The Committee will reopen to the public at 7:30 PM, and that’s when we invite residents to attend.

Please plan to arrive at 7:30 PM for the public portion of the meeting.

Bordentown Township is a community built on strong roots, good neighbors, and a shared sense of pride. We’re fortunate to be home to great local businesses, engaged residents, and families who have chosen to plant their roots here -- many for generations. It’s what makes Bordentown Township a wonderful place to live, work, enjoy your free time, and raise a family.

As a Township Committee, we are committed to listening, responding, and working thoughtfully through the challenges and opportunities facing our community and local economy. We strive to serve with care, integrity, and a focus on building strong neighborhoods for today and for the future. To our longtime residents -- thank you for being the heart of this community. And to those who are new - welcome. We’re glad you’re here.

Bordentown Township operates under the Township form of government, the oldest form of municipal government in New Jersey, dating back to 1798. The Township Committee serves as the foundation of our local government and is made up of five members elected by voters to three-year staggered terms through partisan elections. Each year, the Committee selects one of its members to serve as Mayor for a one-year term. The Mayor also serves as the liaison to the Township Administration.

The Township Committee acts as the legislative body of the municipality, establishing policies that guide the operation of Township departments. The Committee appoints a Township Administrator, who is responsible for carrying out those policies and overseeing the Township’s day-to-day operations -- ensuring services run smoothly for the residents we serve.
