Meet the women behind the Clerk’s Office — Cindy, our Township Clerk, and Meghan, our Deputy Clerk! Cindy has spent 17+ years serving Bordentown, the town she’s called home since childhood. She loves helping residents, working alongside a great team, and staying busy every day. Outside the office, she enjoys day trips, traveling, and spending time with her grandkids. Meghan joined the Clerk’s Office last August after years in the construction permit department. Her goal? To make your visit easier, quicker, and a little less daunting. She’s also a book club host, Little Free Library steward, and true crime podcast enthusiast — don’t worry, she’s more into solving paperwork than whodunits. The Clerk’s Office can help with marriage licenses, voter registration, records requests, meeting info, and general questions — big or small. They’re happy to walk you through the process and point you in the right direction. Have a question? Don’t be shy — stop in or reach out. That’s what they’re here for. Happy Earth Day! We have some exciting news! All Bordentown residents can enroll in a local community solar project through the New Jersey Community Solar Energy Program to help reduce your energy bills. There are NO panels to install on your roof. Many are already benefiting from the program to save on electricity costs. Whether you rent or own your home, you can enroll in community solar and save money on electricity without installing solar panels on your roof. Solar panels are installed on warehouse rooftops instead, and you can subscribe to a share of the clean energy generated. You’ll receive solar credits directly on your electric utility bill for the clean energy produced, reducing what you owe. Bordentown residents can get a 31% discount on solar credits directly on their PSE&G bill. To learn more or enroll, visit www.solarlandscape.com/nj/bordentowntwp or call Solar Landscape at 732-589-7529 and use invite code BTTWP.
