February is a time to reflect -- and to keep moving forward. As we honor Black History Month, we’re reminded that strong community is built through service, respect, and the simple but meaningful act of showing up for one another -- something we do especially well here in Bordentown.

Please take a moment to read. Thank you, Bordentown, for sticking together.

Hey neighbors — just a quick, friendly reminder as everyone finishes clearing driveways and sidewalks.
Please avoid using snowblowers to push snow back into streets that have already been plowed. When snow gets pushed back into the roadway, it creates icy spots and means our Public Works crews have to go back out and redo areas they already cleared.
A little extra care goes a long way in keeping roads safe for everyone — and helps our crews keep moving through the Township efficiently. Thanks so much for doing your part and looking out for one another.

We’re reopening tomorrow, January 27, at 8:00am. If you’re heading out to see us, please take it slow and give yourself a little extra time — icy conditions are sticking around for the rest of the week. Stay safe, and we’ll see you soon!

Due to the expected winter storm, all Bordentown Township municipal offices will be closed on Monday, January 26th. Essential public safety services will continue to operate as needed. We encourage residents to stay safe, limit travel, and check back for updates. Thank you for your understanding.

A significant winter storm is expected, and we’re asking everyone to please stay safe and avoid the roads unless necessary. Our Public Works crew will be working around the clock to clear and treat roadways as conditions allow. We appreciate your patience and cooperation as crews work to keep our community safe. Friendly reminder: when safe, property owners are responsible for clearing snow and ice from the sidewalks in front of their homes. Please continue to monitor official Township updates for any changes.

Hey Bordentown! Snow Emergency Parking Restrictions are in effect during declared snow emergencies.
Please take a moment to review the listed routes and avoid parking where restrictions apply so crews can plow safely and emergency access remains clear.
Thanks for your cooperation.

Snow day means a change of plans.
Due to the impending snowstorm, recycling collection has been canceled for MONDAY, but rescheduled for TUESDAY. If you can, please keep blue recycling bins off the curb -- this helps our Public Works crews clear roads safely and efficiently.
Thanks for your patience and cooperation. Stay safe out there.

Heads up, neighbors -- due to the incoming snowstorm, bulk pickup originally scheduled for this Monday has been moved to Friday, January 30.
Our crews need to focus on snow response and keeping roads safe, and this adjustment helps make that possible.
Thanks for your patience and understanding -- we appreciate everyone’s flexibility as we weather this storm together.

Today, we honor Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. -- and the values he stood for: service, compassion, and community.
MLK Day is often called a day "on", not a day "off" -- a reminder that for some, this day is a chance to give back in ways that feel meaningful to them.
If you’re interested in getting involved or volunteering, you can find service opportunities of all kinds at globalcitizen365.org/kingday/.
Please note: Municipal offices will be CLOSED today in observance of the holiday.
However you spend the day, we honor Dr. King by showing up for one another.

Big hometown energy! Out of more than 2,000 submissions, the winning name for Trenton’s new pro ice hockey team came from two local fans -- including Bordentown resident Joel Perez. Joel and fellow fan Jim Miller of Lawrenceville both submitted Trenton Ironhawks, earning each of them a season ticket membership for the 2026–2027 season. Huge congrats to both winners -- proof that local voices really do shape the teams we cheer for.
