Sharing for our friends at the Bordentown Hometown Hero Foundation.
The BHHF Challenge Run returns on September 21, 2025 at Joseph Lawrence Park—and this year, it’s dedicated to supporting our local veterans.
Too often, veterans face high out-of-pocket therapy fees for routine care not covered by insurance. These costs can add up and deter them from getting the consistent support they need. To make sure our veterans in Bordentown can access care for PTSD and other mental health challenges, this year’s run has set a goal to raise $5,000 for financial assistance.
Hosted in partnership with Bordentown SPARTAN Bootcamp and Sharing Temple Counseling LLC, this event is all about community standing together for those who’ve given so much.
➡️ Please consider registering, donating, or sharing to help us hit our goal!

We’ve been spotting more recyclables in plastic bags lately. While it might seem helpful, plastic bags actually cause big problems at the recycling center — they get tangled in the machines and slow everything down.
👉 The best way to help? Place your recyclables straight into the bin, nice and loose.
Thanks for doing your part to keep recycling moving!

Meet a Member of Your Township: Kim Wolverton 🌟
If you’ve ever called about a missed trash pickup, a pothole, or had questions about parks or recycling, chances are, you’ve spoken to Kim Wolverton.
As the Administrative Assistant for the Public Works Department, Kim is the friendly voice on the other end of the phone and the first face you see when you visit the office. She’s been helping Bordentown Township residents for nearly 21 years, and she’s often the one making sure your concerns are heard and addressed.
Outside of work, Kim loves soaking up summer pool days with her husband Chuck and their two German Shepherds, Gunner and Mila. You might also find her out at a gift auction with friends, enjoying some well-deserved fun.
Say hi the next time you call Public Works -- you’ll be glad you did. 😊
