Heads up, Bordentown! The Water Department will be conducting hydrant flushing throughout the City and Township starting TUESDAY, OCTOBER 7 as part of routine system maintenance.
Benefits of hydrant flushing:
+ Clears out natural sediment from the mains
+ Supports clean, reliable water service
+ Confirms hydrants are in working order for fire safety
During this work, you may notice:
+ Temporary pressure changes
+ Discolored or cloudy water (harmless — simply run your faucet until it clears)
+ Laundry is best delayed while flushing is active nearby to avoid possible staining
📅 Check the schedule below for when crews will be in your area.
Thank you for your understanding as we carry out this essential maintenance.
