📣 Reminder: Nominations for the 2025 Hometown Hero Award are DUE BY AUGUST 1!

Do you know someone who has proudly served our country and continues to make a difference in the Bordentown Township community? The Bordentown Township Veterans Advisory Committee is accepting nominations for the annual Hometown Hero Award, an honor that recognizes and celebrates the outstanding service and commitment of local veterans.

A Hometown Hero is someone who has served in the United States Armed Forces—either currently serving or honorably discharged from Active Duty, Reserve, or National Guard—and has shown dedication not only in uniform, but also within our community. Nominees must be Bordentown Township residents for at least two years and exemplify the values of service, leadership, and community spirit.

🗓 Nominations must be submitted by August 1 and will be reviewed by the Veterans Advisory Committee at its September meeting. Final approval is subject to the Bordentown Township Committee.

PLEASE REMEMBER: The more information you provide to the committee, the better chance your candidate will have of being selected. Be sure to include the nominee’s military history—such as years of service, deployments, and any notable achievements—as well as how they’ve given back to the community.

The award may also be given posthumously.

Let’s come together to recognize those who have gone above and beyond—both in service to our nation and here at home.

Nominate your Hometown Hero today by emailing: vetscommittee@bordentowntwp.org
