Spotted our leaf truck out and about today?
Nope, you didn't miss a memo. It's just stretching its legs before the big season! Our Public Works crew is giving it a TEST RUN, so those leaves can stay put on the lawn a little longer.
🍁 Township-wide leaf collection kicks off MONDAY, NOVEMBER 2.
Now, about those branches you've been meaning to deal with... 👀 We only have three brush pickup days left before brush collection heads into winter hibernation. It'll wake back up in March, but if you'd rather not stare at that pile all winter, now's your moment!
Schedules, guidelines and all the details are on our Public Works page: https://www.bordentowntownship.com/o/bordentown/page/public-works
Thanks for helping keep our neighborhoods looking good this fall, Bordentown Township!

It's Fire Prevention Week, and our firefighters want you to know about two hazards they find in local homes all the time. Neither one looks dangerous until it is.
1️⃣ Anything that can burn stored too close to heat, like boxes by the water heater or laundry near the furnace.
2️⃣ Lithium-ion batteries, especially cheap replacements and chargers bought online.
Swipe through for what to look for and what to do about it. A few minutes this week could protect the people you love.
Thank you to Chief Mark Mezger and Bordentown Fire District #1, and Chief Bob MacFarland and Bordentown Fire District #2, for keeping Bordentown Township safe all year long.

WHAT SHOULD BORDY BE FOR HALLOWEEN?!
Last year, Bordy traded his wings for a tutu and gave us his best ballerina era. But this year? The possibilities are ENDLESS!
Should he be Prince? Dolly Parton? Elvis? Maybe even Bordy Mercury?! Or how about a vampire, superhero, disco king or something completely unexpected?!
We need YOUR help, Bordentown! Drop your costume ideas in the comments and tell us what you think Bordy should be for Halloween. The funnier, the better!
And the big reveal?
Join us at the Bordentown Halloween Parade on Sunday, October 25th, to see what Bordy decided to wear!
Will he be spooky? Silly? Absolutely ridiculous? You’ll have to come find out!

There’s a school bond referendum on your Nov. 3 ballot. If you live in Bordentown City, Bordentown Township or Fieldsboro, you’ll be voting on it.
Swipe through for the school district’s breakdown: what the work would fix at each school, what it costs, how much the state would chip in, and what it could mean for your tax bill.
Where the Township fits in: we collect school taxes and pass them along to the district, but the schools are run separately and the Township doesn’t take a position on the referendum. We’re sharing this so you have the facts before you head to the polls.

Bordentown Township residents, a heads-up for October.
The City of Bordentown Water Department will be conducting its fall hydrant flushing, and while crews are working in your neighborhood, you may temporarily notice cloudy or discolored water or lower water pressure. This is normal during flushing and should clear once the work is complete.
If your water is discolored, run your cold water for several minutes until it runs clear, and hold off on doing laundry until it does.
Hydrant flushing is an important part of maintaining the water system. It helps clear sediment from water mains, maintain water quality and make sure hydrants are working properly when they’re needed.
Swipe for the full schedule and affected Township neighborhoods. ➡️
If your water does not clear after running the cold water for several minutes, please contact the City of Bordentown Water Department at 609-298-0604, option 1.
Thanks in advance for your patience while this important maintenance is completed throughout our community!
