Just a friendly community heads up for our Bordentown neighbors.
We’ve received guidance from Burlington County Health and the NJ Department of Environmental Protection regarding Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza (H5N1), also known as bird flu, which primarily affects wild birds.
There is no cause for alarm locally. As a simple precaution, residents are encouraged to avoid feeding or handling wild birds and to use caution in areas where birds gather. This helps protect wildlife, pets, and our community.

Due to the weather, Bordentown Township Municipal Offices will open a little later on Tuesday, February 24.

Hey neighbors — just a quick, friendly reminder!
Please avoid using snowblowers to push snow back into streets that have already been plowed. When snow gets pushed back into the roadway, it creates icy spots and means our Public Works crews have to go back out and redo areas they already cleared.
A little extra care goes a long way in keeping roads safe for everyone — and helps our crews keep moving through the Township efficiently.

A significant winter storm is expected, and we’re asking everyone to please stay safe and avoid the roads unless necessary. Our Public Works crew will be working around the clock to clear and treat roadways as conditions allow. We appreciate your patience and cooperation as crews work to keep our community safe. Friendly reminder: when safe, property owners are responsible for clearing snow and ice from the sidewalks in front of their homes. ‼️Please avoid using snowblowers to push snow back into streets that have already been plowed. Please continue to monitor official Township updates for any changes.
Updates for both RECYCLING and BULK PICKUP due to the upcoming snow:
→ Recycling collection will be delayed by one day. The new recycling date is Tuesday, February 24.
📢To allow Public Works crews to plow safely and prevent carts from freezing to the curb, please place recycling carts out after 6:00 AM on collection day and make sure carts and lids are clear of snow and ice.
→ Bulk pickup has been rescheduled to Friday, February 27.

Weather-related scheduling update: The Township Committee Meeting originally scheduled for Monday, 2/23 has been rescheduled to Tuesday, 2/24 due to the recent snowstorm. Please note that the Environmental Commission Meeting scheduled for Tuesday, 2/24 has been canceled. Updates on a future meeting date will be shared soon.

Please take a moment to review the listed routes and avoid parking where restrictions apply so crews can plow safely and emergency access remains clear. When moving vehicles off the street, PLEASE DO NOT PARK IN SCHOOL PARKING LOTS — these areas must remain clear for safety and access during snow events. Thanks for your cooperation.

Hey neighbors — quick heads up for Charles Bossert Drive.
Beginning Tuesday, February 17, PSE&G will be conducting gas main upgrades on Charles Bossert Drive. Work is expected to continue for approximately two weeks, through February 27.
Bordentown Township Police will be on site to help direct traffic during the project.
Please note:
• Residents will continue to have access to their homes
• School buses will have access
• Emergency services will have full access to the area
